I had 10 " cross stitched" squares that were unpicked some time ago from an older unused project .
I added coloured borders to each one & re-used them to make this cuddle quilt for my grandies.
I think it's cute... but the test will come when a little one uses it to snuggle under this coming winter.
Another block is now complete as I added the fabric and appliqued it in place this morning.
The quilt is called... Girls Day Out... by Libby Richardson... & this is block 7 of 12.
It's a WISP which I pull out every so often... & even though I really enjoy working on it... it always seems to be pushed to the back of the pile. Oh well... one day!
I needed to find 2 x fats of yellow fabric for the LaST of the DrawString bags I wanted to make.
At a closing down sale I found the PeRFecT yellows to match my fabric.. yippee.
I stitched them both last night at Friday Night Sew In... with Wendy from over HeRe...
Finished them off by adding the ribbon... so here are both bags all done!
They are now safely tucked into the gift box.
DD#2 wanted a Santa MiNi similiar (same) to the one I made for DD#1 in October 2015.
You can see it in a post over HeRe if you are intersted.
I managed to find the same fabrics in my stash to complete it... yippee
As I already had a stand ready for it to hang on, this month it went to the top of the list to be made.
We are both very HaPPy with the outcome too... so the pressure is now off my shoulders... lol
It's a pattern by The Wooden Bear (USA) in the Little Quilts 2 range... called "All Bundled Up" .
The MiNi measures 12 inches square.
I have added it to my 2017 Scrap Busting Challenge list...
as well as Narelle's group over HeRe... at... 1 Xmas Item a Month.
We had a wonderful time away... fantastic weather... brilliant seas... lovely company... delicious food and drinks... what more could we ask? Absolutely nothing...
Although I didn't take any handwork away with me... I did finish off this embroidery last night.
It's by Ella & Skysie Designs called Makes Life Bearable #328.
You can visit them over HeRe... http://www.ellaandskysiedesigns.com/
Still deciding what it will become though.
and Friday Night with Friends is on once again. .
Although I am away at the moment... I would still love to see how many of you get together for a virtual "sew in". It's heaps of FuN knowing that like minded "friends"&/or "bloggers" are doing the same thing as you are. Perhaps you could share a pic of you sewing away on Friday night.
I hope you will share a pic of what you get up to as well.
E N J O Y...

I am adding9finished projects to my OPAM list this month.
I am pretty happy with that number as I have been away most of the month.
Thanks to PeG and KRiS for tallying up the numbers each month... great job GirLs.
I spent a couple of days with some very talented ladies last week.
We all take a few days for creative release and while at Wyee we have heaps of fun... enjoy lots of tasty food and drinkies... chat away all day long... and actually get some sewing done... who knew?
I actually finished 7 draw string gift bags... instructions are available under "crafty" HeRe...
as well as a few other projects... but I will show them another time.
And look what DD#2 found for me...
I will add the 7 draw string bags to my Scrap Busting Challenge too...
