Baby RuGG

DD#2 asked for a PLaYQuiLT for her friend.
As the proud parents-to-be don't know the sex of the baby we decided to make the quilt in neutrals.
I originally saw this quilt on Pinterest in May 2014 but modified it by... adding some applique & changing the block size & finished size. DD#2 liked my ideas & is now very HaPPy with the result.
The "Elephant" cot/play quilt measures 36in x 48in.
The beautiful quilting was done by my friend... Julie... at Edge to Edge Quilting... from HeRe.
If you need any quilting done, drop Julie an email. You won't be disappointed.
The original pattern is available to purchase from "The Design Studio" blog... HeRe.
I like to give credit where credit is due.
Now I have to wait a few months to see what the parents think of my interpretation...

A LittLe PiLLow

for my PHoNe that is...
I recently made a "Phone Pillow" as shown by Laura from Sew Very Easy as a free tutorial on YouTube. They are a cute little project to use scraps up on, so I added a tutorial with pic's to my web page... HeRe.
Sometimes having the written instructions is easier than having my IPad/phone open beside me.
If you would like the FREE PDF... just click HeRe.
I also added this to my Scrap Busting Challenge List.

Odd BiTs

At FNSI last night, I managed to make a fabric craft box. I made a few of these a couple of years back and wanted to see if I still remembered how to make them... so I tested out my memory last night.
Now that I do... I will make lots more from my stash.
Gotta LoVe using scraps and stash for little projects like this.
Thanks Wendy for another FuN night of sewing with FRieNDs...
Visit FNSI HeRe.

AND I received a parcel from Western Australia during the week. If you would like to see what these beauties look like...
please CLicK on over to HeRe.

A GiFt BaG

This month I made another GiFT BaG... but this time I used a "candle" embroidery for the centre piece.
I originally stitched the embroidery back in February... see HeRe.
But to add a change to the look, I used my PrismaColour coloured pencils to fill in the shapes.
I really LoVe how this one turned out so I will have to make a few more during the coming months.

I have a FREE pattern over on my web page... HeRe... at under Seasonal.
It downloads as a PDF... so it's very easy. Why don't you make one for yourself OR as a friends gift.

I added this bag to Narelle's group 1 Xmas Item a Month ... just click over to HeRe...
as well as to my 2017 Scrap Busting Challenge list.

AnnuaL XmaS SwaP

A few ladies have emailed me asking whether I will be hosting the Santa Sack Swap this year.
Unfortunately I am unable to run it this year as I will be away when it needs organising and then again during the reminding, mailing out and checking periods.
I'm very sorry to disappoint all the regular swappers in this annual swap but it's unavoidable this year.
I hope you all understand and can find other swaps to participate in.

The month of May has been quiet in my cubbyhole. I guess trips away take a toll on my sewing time... but I will get back in there this coming month I'm sure.

Anyways only one item this month... but hey, that's better than none.

Thanks Peg and Kris for keeping tally...
