At our recent annual retreat to Bathurst NSW... 12 lovely ladies attended.
We all enjoyed each others company by sharing a few funny stories, & laugh or two... & perhaps a glass of wine. All meals were provided so there were NO meals to prepare or dishes to be done.
Now that's what I call a ReTReaT.
With permission... I share some pic's for all to enjoy...
All the gang...
Receiving our swap gifts...
To prove we did work. Some achieved a LoT & some like me achieved at little at least.
Fiona was on FiRe... so was Deb V... & Julie was on a roll... lots more but alas NO pic's to prove it...
And a special visit from Annie Downs... & Kate's gift to Annie...
I managed to sneak in a little playtime in the cubbyhole last night... making another TriAngle Pouch.
This time I also made a matching flat zip pouch which I'll pair together & give them away as a gift.
I know I'm early this month for 1 Xmas Item a Month but I wanted to add my item.
I haven't missed a month this year... yippee...
Thanks Narelle... I wouldn't get half as much done if you weren't hosting this monthly group.
I also used stash & zips I had on hand... so another 2 items have been added to the list.
FNwF... is a show & see day... well the whole weekend is really...
That means... if you joined in FNwF & you show us what you worked on... we will all come by for a visit.
Sounds like a great idea to me...
I was lucky enough to sit & sew with 12 lovely ladies last night all working on various projects.
I finished 2 half circle skirts as stocking fillers for a little girl at Christmas. I hope she will like them.
I also finished some applique on a playquilt, so it has now become a flimsy... but more on that later.
I hope you all had FuN last night... & will join in next month for our last FNwF for 2017.
Perhaps you will need to finish off a last minute gift...
Anyways I would LoVe to have your company once again... so until then... KeeP on SeWinG
Yes it's TiMe once again for Friday Night with Friends... yippee
And this month I will be surrounded by friends. You see it's our annual retreat to Bathurst.
The Bathurst Blog Meet was started by Chooky... from HeRe... & now carried on by Deb from HeRe.
Like minded women sit, sew & enjoy each others company from Friday noon until Sunday noon.
We don't do meals and we don't do dishes... How gOOd is that!
Anyway if you would like to join us at FNwF (virtually of course) .... please add your name to the list below....
It's that simple.

After another b-u-s-y month I found I managed to make or finish a few projects. 8 in all after counting... so I'm pretty happy with that number.
Thanks to PeG and KriSeach & every month for their tallying efforts.
I finally finished the tree skirt for DD#2. It will be on display in her home in December but she said she LoVes it & can't wait use it under her Xmas tree. That makes me so HaPPy...
The skirt has a 40 inch diameter (including a 2 inch "snow" edge).
It was machine appliqued & quilted...& made using various templates I had on hand.
Before it heads home tomorrow... all that is needed now is a label... so I better get onto it...
Quite a few years ago I received 2 x KiTs for making a BoYs pillowcase.
Well I thought this was a great month to make them and add them to the Xmas GiFT box for my GS.
The fabric for the case has different sports balls on it so it is quite fitting for the little man.
Hope the cases are loved & get well used...
To find out "How To Make" a pillowcase... just CLiCk HeRe.
Thanks Narelle... for encouraging all of us to MaKe a gift/item each month.
If you would like to see what other "elves" got up to this month... simply CLicK HeRe.
